5 Ingredient Organic Margarita Recipe

How to Make a 5 Ingredient Organic Margarita

Recipe makes enough for 3 large margaritas!

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 Pineapple
  • 1 Lime/lemon
  • 2 Slices of ginger root
  • 1/4 C. of honey + more to taste
  • Tequila; if making alcoholic drinks
  • Water
  • Ice
  • Salt or Sugar (optional for glass rim)

Equipment Needed:

  • Blender
  • Strainer
  • Cocktail shaker
  • Margarita glasses
  • Pitcher of ice
  • Cup for water
  • 2 Small plates

Instructions:

  1. Cut pineapple in half. Set aside other half for another recipe or for another batch of margaritas. Remove skin, core, and dice pineapple. Add to blender.
  2. Cut 2 slices of ginger root and add to blender.

  3. Add 1 cup of water, a 1/4 cup of honey and blend! Add more water if the mixture becomes too thick.
  4. Taste, and add more honey if desired.

     

  5. Squeeze 1 lime/lemon into blender, using hand or strainer to keep any pulp and seeds from getting into the blender. Blend.

  6. Taste again! Make any final adjustments and blend. Continue until it tastes just perfect. You may strain your juice here if you do not like pulp in your drink. Return strained juice to mixer.

  7. Add ice.

  8. Blend again until mixture becomes very thin and all ice has been crushed. If you want a frozen margarita, add more ice until desired consistency. You will want to add tequila in this step for a frozen margarita.

  9. After mixture has blended, pour salt/sugar onto one plate and water onto a separate plate. First, dip the rim of your glass into the water. Second, dip the rim of your glass into the salt/sugar and set glass aside.

  10. Pour some ice into a cocktail shaker (if on the rocks).

  11. Followed by 3/4 parts of the blended juice.

This 5 Ingredient Organic Margarita is the perfect summer cocktail! Make with or without alcohol.
