Celebrity Homes: The Will and Jada Pinkett Smith Home

Hollywood power couple Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith home is a a gorgeous adobe style home in the Santa Monica Mountains near Calabasas, California. The sprawling 25,000 square foot home, located on 150 acres of land, is a perfect retreat for the family, which includes their children, Willow and Jaden, and Trey (a son from Will’s previous marriage).

Despite the large size of the home they have been able to create an intimacy that makes it comfortable and welcoming. It’s grown organically into what it is now. They view it as a work in progress that will evolve over time as they continue to love and grow to discover what more the home has to offer.

They shared their family retreat with Architectural Digest, so here are our favorite parts of the tour:

Earthy Elements

The thing that stands out most in their home is the use of earthy and natural elements. From the tree branch/vine inspired railing in the entry way to the rustic reclaimed ceiling beams and leather and other nature-inspired furniture throughout. Additionally there are a many handmade pieces that are sophisticated yet bring warmth to each space. The overall effect is a feeling of calm and comfort.

Circular Rooms

We love the various circular shaped rooms. Off the formal dining room they have a circular shaped alcove that provides intimate seating for dining. They also have a meditation room with fireplace and plush pillows and floor seating that is very cozy and inviting. Lastly we love the circular shaped game room that allows the pool table to be the main attraction in the center of the room. The use of circular architecture brings a fluidity and flow to the home that avoids any dead ends.

Screening Room

We love the family screening room with the plush looking upholstery in the various levels of seating. Our favorite is the comfy looking daybed that is suspended from the ceiling!

Picturesque Scenery

Since it’s located in the mountains there is plenty of picturesque scenery. Adding to that is the manmade lake and the gorgeous free-form pool that looks like it could be a natural pond.
