Actress Megan Fox and husband Brian Austin Green recently sold their beautiful Mediterranean style LA home (for $3.75 million!) and upgraded to a larger family home by buying Bing Crosby’s former ranch home in Toluca Lake, California. The pair spent $3.35 million on the semi-recently remodeled carriage house built in 1936.
Their new home doesn’t have the same style and pizazz that their former home did, but we think that it has a certain warmth and coziness that screams raising a family. The 6,710 square-foot home sits on one acre and is surrounded by beautiful established oak and olive trees. It also comes with a 563 square-foot pool house decked out with it’s own kitchen and bathroom and is the perfect place to hang out and shoot some pool.
Here are some of our favorite features of this old school Hollywood carriage house:
Our absolute favorite part of this home is the super high ceilings with exposed wooden beams throughout.
Add in the quartz slate floors in most areas and the Brazilian cherry hardwood floors in the formal living and dining areas and you get a gorgeous combination.
Floor to Ceiling Shelving
In another spacious main area of the home, the room is flanked with floor-to-ceiling shelving that will make for one killer library space. Then, off to the left are beautiful glass shelves built in to the wall that would provide an excellent space for displaying collectibles.
Dream Shower Space
The home has what we would consider a dream shower. It’s spacious with tiled seating and our favorite part is the dual showerheads. One is a traditional showerhead and the second is a rain shower head located on the ceiling.
As if the inside wasn’t cozy enough, the backyard contains a large lawn for their kids to run around in and a very welcoming saline pool and fire pit that makes you want to spend more time outside.
