This adorable little beach cottage is full of nautical style and modern flair. The entire home is based off of a calming color palette of whites, greys, greens and blues. This tiny cottage feels nautical without coming across as cheesy. Take a look at the sophisticated style inside this home:
The Living Room
The main living area is centered around a white brick fireplace. The walls are a light gray color and the ceiling beams were painted white as well. This gives the room an airy feeling and makes the room feel larger than it is. There are many seating areas in this small room, but they don’t feel crowded or cluttered. The natural wood coffee table and driftwood on the mantle are nice, natural touches in this modern space.
In this space, the designer used simple white cabinets and silver hardware. To bring in some color, he added blue subway tile with white grout for a clean and fresh look. The porthole windows bring in natural light and add to the nautical theme in a classic way. By using glass-front cabinets in this kitchen, the room actually feels more open.
The Office & Guest Room
When you live in a beautiful beachfront home like this, you need a place for your guests to stay when they inevitably come to visit. This room serves a dual purpose as a home office and a guest room. The desk is a bright blue color and really acts as an accent piece in this room. The guest daybed is propped up high on cabinets for extra storage space. The floors are covered in a light wood and the cabinets were made to match.
The master bedroom is tucked in this tiny space, but isn’t missing anything. There is plenty of room for a bed with comfy blankets and pillows. There is a corner desk and large armoire in the room as well. The room is mostly neutral, but we love the pops of color with the bright green desk chair and bright blue pillows.
The Family Room
Believe it or not, this tiny cottage has a family room in it as well! The best part about this room is the wall of windows looking out on the ocean view. This family room is full of large, comfy furniture and a lot of natural light. The multiple coffee tables and ottomans make this room just as versatile as it is beautiful.
