Theresa Roemer’s 3000 sq. ft. Luxury Dream Closet

Not many of us can say that our closet is the best part of our home. Closets are usually just a place to store clothes and clutter, but that is not the case with Theresa Roemer’s luxury dream closet. It is a mind-blowing 3000 square feet on its own and is said to house clothing, shoes, jewelry, and handbags collected over 30 years.  To have space for this massive collection, this closet is three stories high and resembles a high-end boutique.

The Spa

The first floor of the closet features a spa-like bathroom. A luxurious soaker tub sits in the center of the room with modern vanities on either side. There is a shoe closet off to the left hand side with floor to ceiling shoe storage. Through the giant glass doors to the right, there is grand spiral staircase leading up to the second floor.

The Staircase

From this view, we can get a better look at the white modular shelving in the walls. All of the shelves are backlit so the bags really stand out. This shelving area in the staircase was a clever way of creating more storage in an unusual space. This closet is similar to a museum in the way all of the accessories are displayed. This view also shows off the shiny white floors that are all over this closet. They reflect the light from the displays and make the room feel glamorous.

The Champagne Bar

At the top of the staircase there is a champagne bar. This closet is not meant to be just a space to store clothes, it is meant to be a space to spend time in and enjoy. The champagne bar has several bar seats and a television. The owner can have guests over to enjoy her collection while they are sipping champagne at the bar. From this angle, we can also see the beautiful cascading crystal chandelier that hangs above the staircase.

The Glass Cases

The owner’s clothing collection is carefully organized and placed behind glass cabinet doors. These cases help to protect the collection, but still allow the collection to be on display in the closet. There are also more handbags on display near the ceiling, just like they would be in a luxury store. There is a vanity off to the right with even more storage below. The second spiral staircase in this room leads up to one more floor with even more closet space.
