Spring is just around the corner for all of us, which means it is time to get a jump on spring cleaning. We have three tips that will give you a head start on this annual project. From garages, to entryways, to bedrooms, this can end up being a huge project! Make spring cleaning fun and utilize the tools that surround you.
1. Tackle One Area At A Time
Empty out the whole area, as this will allow you to clean from top to bottom. By clearing out an area, you will see what has been hiding underneath anything and everything. This will also allow you to get into all the nooks and crannies that seem to appear out of nowhere.
2. Prepare A Cleaning Kit
Round up the tools and cleaning supplies you will need, before you start your spring cleaning projects. This way you don’t have to run out to grab something else in the middle of all the hustle and bustle.
Our suggestions for your cleaning kit:
- Rubber Gloves
- Cleaning Rags
3. Get The Family Involved
Involve your whole family in your Spring cleaning ritual. Kids of all ages can be incorporated into spring cleaning. For younger kids, turn cleaning into a game or make it a friendly competition to see who can clean the best. Make the reward something that everyone can enjoy, like going out to dinner, but let the winner pick the restaurant. For stubborn, older kids, try offering a bonus to their allowance, or a temporary extension to their curfew.
Most importantly, do not expect perfection. If you want others to help you with your spring cleaning, you need to loosen up a little bit and accept the fact that others will not clean the exact same way that you do.
