Can I Install Laminate Flooring Over An Existing Tile Or Linoleum Floor?

Laminate flooring planks can be installed over ANY surface, as long as its level and in good repair. If your linoleum floor is starting to peel or your tile damaged and breaking apart, it is recommended that you remove these surfaces and make sure your subfloor is clear of any debris before installing a floating floor. However, if you have a floor down already that is in good condition, you may lay the laminate planks over top of it, with a layer of underlayment in between.
