Search by Installation

Once you’ve chosen the look of your new floor, you’ll need to decide on the type of installation you prefer. Bestlaminate offers both traditional glue down vinyl flooring and glueless click-lock flooring, otherwise known as loose lay vinyl flooring.

Deciding between Glue Down Vinyl Flooring and Loose Lay Vinyl Flooring

Vinyl plank flooring offers a couple different types of installation. Here at Bestlaminate we carry two types: the DIY-friendly, glueless Click-Lock system and the traditional glue down installation method.

When determining which type is better for you, take into consideration your skill, the type of floor you are looking for, and the amount of time you have available for the job.

Click-Lock flooring is often referred to as loose lay vinyl flooring or a floating floor, as you will not need to nail or glue anything in the process. The installation process is relatively simple, as you will not have any mess on your hands.

Glue-Down vinyl flooring is more time consuming and does require the use of glue in the process. Glue down flooring provides users with a strong and moisture-proof seal under and between planks, so this is an ideal solutions for areas with moisture or heavy use.

Should you have anyone in your home with allergies, you may opt to go with a Click-Lock flooring option, to ward off any health issues. Before you begin the process of installing vinyl plank flooring, be sure you have educated yourself. Read the manufacturer’s instructions and understand what you will be doing. When your project is done, you will have a vinyl plank floor to enjoy for years to come!
