Bathroom Flooring Ideas to Make Your Room Sparkle

One spot in the house that everyone spends a fair amount of time is the bathroom. This room is functional in purpose, but that does not mean that it cannot look amazing.

Bathrooms contain unique fixtures different than is found in any other room. For your bathroom to sparkle, you need to incorporate these fixtures with a cohesive design. The color of the flooring combined with the type of décor you use will breathe new life into what could be a boring, ugly space in your home.

Here are five bathroom flooring ideas to make your room sparkle and shine.

1. Use Subtle Patterns

Incorporating slight patterns into your bathroom floor gives the room a touch of elegance. The patterns should not be overwhelming. Instead, they should add a touch of delicacy to your bathroom to make it look open and clean. Try patterns in the flooring or tub tiling. It’s best to look for natural patterns, such as in stone or granite.

2. Go Au Natural

If you want to create a modern, spa like setting, bring in natural colors and textures. Natural flooring colors with light brown and olive tones give your bathroom a cozy feeling without looking dirty or drab. When you add plants, and white porcelain fixtures to your bathroom you keep the room looking clean and comfortable. If you have windows, think about letting in the natural light. You can use either diffusing window shades, or add a privacy film to the windows so you can enjoy the light with privacy!

If you’re creating a blue colored bathroom use a either a light grey or blue stone color to enhance the look of your bathroom. The blue tint will come to life with blue walls and accessories while still giving your bathroom a stunning color scheme. And just because it’s a blue bathroom, doesn’t mean you have to make a nautical themed room, but that’s entirely up to you!
