Why I Love My Laminate Flooring

At Bestlaminate, we love it when we get positive reviews from our customers! We just couldn’t help but share this wonderful story from one of our happiest customers!

“Laminate flooring has proven to be one of the most consumer friendly floors in our home. Due to the fact that we have two large dogs, two teenagers and ourselves; our flooring has stood up to everything we have experienced. Both of our floors are of lighter colors. Our sun room is really open and bright, therefore; pine was the perfect choice. In our kitchen, we have oak laminate flooring; which compliments our cabinetry.

I love the fact that we were able to bring the outdoors into our sunroom. The character that pine flooring offers, is truly one of a kind. The large and small knots, show off the natural beauty of pine laminate flooring. Laminate flooring is much more permanent than the other items in the room. Paint and other décor can always be changed or updated. With pine laminate flooring, the options are endless. But one thing is for sure, I will always have an outdoor feeling in my sunroom.

Our oak laminate flooring in my kitchen was an instant “wow” factor. The oak laminate flooring took the place of kitchen carpeting from the 1970’s. So, you can only imagine how nice that first plank looked! Oak flooring is always a safe bet, it goes with just about anything. Living in an old Iowa farmhouse, oak laminate flooring seemed to fit the character of the custom built in cabinetry. A daily sweep with a broom and my laminate flooring is good to go. About once a week we need to clean it with a laminate flooring cleaner. The whole cleaning process for laminate flooring is really very simple. We don’t like running a mop with lots of water, therefore; laminate flooring was perfect for our kitchen.

With two large dogs that roam through our home daily, the flooring we decided on was a great option. Our dogs spend a lot of time prancing through the house on our laminate flooring, and they have not scratched the laminate floor at all. I love the fact that I have floors that looks just like hardwood, but do not scratch or contract like real wood does.

And then there are our teenagers who tromp through the kitchen on a daily basis. For some reason, my boys can’t remember to take their shoes off. When they come through the kitchen and leave their footprints on the laminate flooring in the kitchen, it’s a fairly simple clean up. I have found that a micro fiber towel works great with a little bit of vinegar/water to spot clean laminate flooring. When spills and foot prints are wiped up rather quickly, our laminate flooring looks just like new. Better yet, we need to train our teenagers to wipe up their own spills!

What I love most about my flooring is the fact that we were able to save a lot of money by installing the laminate flooring ourselves. Laminate flooring is a great do-it-yourself project. There are no nails or glue used in the installation process. Laminate flooring is often referred to as a floating floor, which implies the laminate flooring is not attached to the sub floor.

There are many choices today when it comes to laminate flooring. BestLaminate offers many unique looks, as well as brands to choose from. With pricing that will fit within your budget, you too; can also have a beautiful laminate floor. I love my laminate flooring, as it fits the needs of our busy family and gives us a look that we desire. The character, ease of maintenance, and ease of installation are reasons that I love my laminate flooring.”
