Bestlaminate was brought into the conversation to help the local YMCA’s initiative to renovate their locker rooms. Inspired by this project, one that ultimately serves the community while inspiring many lives with its generosity and passion, Remi and Kasia decided to donate vinyl flooring from Bestlaminate towards the YMCA’s renovation efforts in memory of their late son Kuba, as part of an effort to leave his legacy behind. With Kuba being a YMCA summer camper, this project is a meaningful and special way to give back to the community in his honor.

This locker room had been neglected for years, but due to budget issues, it was an overlooked project. A good friend of Bestlaminate’s, Bob, took it upon himself to pitch the idea of revamping the space. Bob’s vision started with wanting a better space for fathers and their children to have when getting ready for the variety of classes and programs the YMCA offers. Staff at the YMCA began to notice this locker room was not used very much. Not much later, they discovered this was because fathers weren’t comfortable bringing their children into the outdated and dirty space.

The remodeling process, led by Bob, was a comprehensive endeavor, revamping the entire space, including the creation of a new vanity area and changing stalls.
