QEP Premium Cork Underlayment Installation

QEP Premium Cork underlayment can be used under ceramic tile, stone, marble, glued wood flooring and floating floor systems. It acts as a crack isolation membrane that resists transfer of stress cracks from subfloor through to flooring surfaces. It reduces thermal transmission, increasing the effectiveness of floor heating systems. It’s easy to install in both glue-down, click-lock, and loose lay flooring installations!

Repair any damages, level the surface and clean your sub-floor. Follow our guidelines to prepare it properly.

Step 2: Installing Over Concrete?

If installing over concrete, you must install a vapor barrier film, such as Visqueen.

Step 4: Prepare for Installation

After laying a film (if needed), prepare to install the cork underlayment opposite of the flooring (cross-grain)

Step 5: Roll Out

Unroll the underlayment and cut to the length of the room.

Step 6: Repeat!

The next row will lay right beside the first.
