With our room calculator, you will easily be able to figure out the square footage of your area.
When your project consists of multiple areas or rooms, we recommend drawing the spaces and dividing them into separate areas. Measure each area separately, and add each area into our calculator to get total square footage of your project.
With our room calculator you will easily be able to figure this out your area. Here is what you need to do:
Step 1: Measure your room. For the most accurate results we suggest to measure room dimensions in inches. In case you need help with this step use our guide how to properly measure your room(s).
Step 2: Enter your room dimensions (width and length).
Note: For multiple rooms calculate area of each room separately, and manually add results "area without waste" together. Don't forget to add up to 10% for waste.
Step 3: Add your waste percentage. We recommend 5-10%. If you need a little help with this step read our guide how to calculate waste factor.
Step 4: Hit "Calculate Area" button.
Step 5: Results: Room Calculator will give you two results, both calculated in sq.ft.
a. The area without waste. You can use it to calculate net square footage of more than just one room.
b. The area with waste. This is your "total" square footage you can use to buy your flooring.
